It was so lovely to hear that my Guernica Editions short story collection, Things That Cause Inappropriate Happiness, was named a finalist in the Indie Book Awards in the fiction under 70,000 words category. Thank you so much to the judges šŸ’—šŸ’— It was also lovely to see authors who I love, whose books I love, be named finalists too. When I was in Vancouver, I got to read with the amazing Jann Everard who read from her beautiful short story collection, Blue Runaways šŸ§”šŸ“š Here in Toronto, I got to read with Stephanie Cesca at the Drunk Fiction Reading Series. Stephanie's beautiful novel, Dotted Lines, was also published by Guernica Editions. They're both finalists in different categories too. One of the things I’m so grateful for is the sense of community in the writing world and the way we support each other. If you haven’t their books, I highly recommend them

Huge congrats on being a finalist, it’s awesome to see you supporting other writers like Jann and Stephanie. That sense of community is so important. I’ll definitely be looking into those books for my weekend reading.

Finding a way to relax after a long day of work is a must for me. Usually, that means grabbing a book or putting on some global channels. I actually found https://xuperztv.com/ recently and it’s a solid choice if you want something that just works. The stream stays smooth without any annoying pauses or the site crashing. Thanks for the book tips.

I really liked how this piece explored a less talked-about side of human emotion. It’s interesting how we sometimes question our own happiness depending on the situation. Your writing brings a sense of comfort and understanding to that feeling. It reminds readers that emotions don’t always need justification. I’ve been reading similar engaging perspectives on https://supertvz.com/Ā which also shares thoughtful content like this. Great work—this was both relatable and memorable

This was such an insightful read! The idea that happiness can sometimes feel ā€œinappropriateā€ is something many people can relate to but don’t often express. You captured that feeling beautifully. It’s always inspiring to see content that encourages people to accept their emotions as they are. I’ve also come across similar reflective discussions on https://thesuperstv.com/Ā that explore everyday feelings in a deeper way.
