New Short Story my upcoming collection, Like An Alligator Eyeing a Small Fish in the Opiate
I’m really thrilled to have a new short story from my upcoming Guernica Editions collection, Things That Cause Inappropriate Happiness in the new issue of the US publication The Opiate.
The story is called Like An Alligator Eyeing A Small Fish. It’s about imposter syndrome early in a creative career, and addiction and the possibility of other lives. I’d been thinking a lot about how heartbreaking the fentanyl crisis is- and also about an essay I’d read about Anne Frank.
Somehow these things came together thank you so much to the wonderful editor Genna for the enthusiasm and support you can read the rest of the story and the issue here: https://issuu.com/theopiatemagazine/docs/the_opiate_vol._34
