Vancouver launch for Things That Cause Inappropriate Happiness

Visiting Vancouver was amazing. I loved getting to read at Vancouver Public Library. It was such a beautiful building, and it was wonderful to see the librarian and author Candie Tanaka, who hosted our event. It was amazing to read from the story There's Something I've Been Meaning to Say To You, the final story in the collection alongside such amazing authors including Jann Everard, Marie Claude Arnott and Diana Bauer. Also so lovely to see Shashi Bhat, whose short story collection Death By A Thousand Cuts is one of my favourites of the year, Paul Dhillon (who interviewed me for the Artisanal Writer and Shayna Goldberg 💗💗💗📚Thank you to them and the rest of the awesome audience and to Candie and Jonna for having us.

It was also lovely to see Things that Cause Inappropriate Happiness in the wild. There's something so special about seeing your book in a city that isn't yours- and 32 Books was such a beautiful store. Thank you to the wonderful booksellers for their enthusiasm, it was so much fun to sign books there. Vancouver is such a beautiful place, the mountains, the ocean, the beaches, the people. I would love to go back. Here are some photos :)
