Too Much on the Inside optioned for Film

I'm so thrilled and happy to be able to share this news: My first novel, Too Much on the Inside has been optioned for film!

I've always dreamed of seeing my characters and their stories on screen. Too Much on the Inside in particular has always felt cinematic to me, especially with all the specific parts of Queen St that appear in the book. I was so thrilled when Heidi Lasi of Pelee Entertainment got in touch with me over the summer. Danila Botha’s Book Excellence Award-winning novel, Too Much on the Inside, has been optioned for film or episodic series by Pelee Entertainment. The 2015 novel, published by Quattro Books, is set in early 2000s Toronto and follows a year in the life of four twenty-something immigrants whose lives intersect on Queen St West.
