It was incredible to get to read in Washington, DC for the first time, at an amazing series, alongside some of of my favourite writers. Andrew Bertaina and Lauren D Woods are incredible writers and writing community members and they host this incredible series in their lovely home, (which reminded me of Hazel Millar and Jay Millar of Book *Hug's amazing at home reading series)
All of the readings were incredible! Tom McAllister, (https://www.tom.mcallister.ws/) author of It All Felt Impossible was funny and sharp and brilliant, Margaret Hutton (https://www.margarethutton.com/) was incredible in her reading from her beautiful novel If You Leave , I’m still thinking about Kara Oakleaf and how much her award winning stories dazzled me and brought me to tears, ( https://karaoakleaf.com/) Amber Sparks is an absolute master of the short story form, and we were so lucky to get a preview from her upcoming new short story collection, (https://www.ambernoellesparks.com/about-me) and Jeannine Pitas’s poems from And/Or were so beautiful moving. https://www.jeanninemariepitas.com/
Thank you so much for letting me be part of something so incredibly special 🧡🧡🧡🧡
