New short story, Together We Stand in Dark Winter Literary Magazine in May

I'm very excited to have new short stories that will be in DarkWinter Literary Magazine and Beyond Words - Literary Magazine this May. As we inch closer to Spring 2024, and the whole collection, Things That Cause Inappropriate Happiness will be out in the world, thanks to my awesome publisher Guernica Editions, it makes so happy to be able to share pieces, and so grateful to the editors who’ve chosen and wanted to share these stories.

The story in Dark Winter Literary Magazine, Together We Stand, is about a close childhood friendship that endures, despite the challenges they both face. Their personalities are different, but they are buoyed by each other because of it. I wanted to capture the openheartedness and purity of those kinds of friendships and carry that into adulthood.
