A little more on my graphic novel in progress

I’ve been working a lot on my graphic novel (in tandem with as always, writing and editing short stories. I can’t wait to share my new collection, Things that Cause Inappropriate Happiness, with you guys in 2024 and my new regular novel, A Place for People Like Us in 2025) Some days, the graphic novel is a dream: I do three or four panels, format them, save them, and I can’t believe my incredible fortune. Other days, I think if I just wrote it instead, I’d be moving so much faster through the story. Mostly though, I really love it. This is me, working on an image for a panel at the end of the story today (I never write in order) and this is my daughter, drawing and painting with similar intensity <3
